Why did you apply for this project?
The training center applied for this project because its mission is to provide quality adult education that meets modern requirements, promoting their competitiveness in the labor market. Consequently, the training center is interested in developing and growing with time and all innovations. Over the years, as we have been teaching adults, we have identified segments where people should be educated, so creating this new program and developing digital materials would be a great way to make people think about educational opportunities and healthier habits in the end.
What results do you expect your project to have?
For people to start thinking about introducing healthy habits into their daily lives. To motivate people to learn through the interactive program for the daily introduction of Mediterranean food. Let digital learning materials and recipes be the first step in their daily implementation and sharing. Introduction of new digital tools and platforms in training center programs. In this way, ensuring the attraction of new students to the new programs of the training center or improving the existing ones. Only in this way can a private training center continue to exist in today’s highly competitive environment, introducing something new and modern. So far, there are still very few educational institutions in Latvia where you can study programs with the help of digital tools.
What activities did you implement in your project?
We involved 18 staff employees.
We implemented:
1) courses – 4 locations in Turkey
2) “job shadowing” – 14 mobilities (Turkey (different areas), Spain – Barcelona, Tenerife, Malaga.
What were the results of your project?
1) Was developed and approved a new 8 hours informal education program “Incorporation of Mediterranean dishes into modern everyday meals”, which offers theoretical and practical lessons in which the interested person can prepare his own food;
2) Developed digital materials about this program, pictures, which will visibly help the implementation of the program
3) Various specific recipes and descriptions were developed, which the interested party can implement in his daily life, thinking about adding healthier products.
